Version 1.5.1
September 12, 2026- Math in your notes. Write $x^2$ for an inline formula or $$ on its own line for a display block, and Caliu renders it right in the note. Tap or click a formula to edit its LaTeX with a live preview. Works the same on iPhone, iPad, Mac and web.
- Tags with spaces. Close a tag with a second hash, like #my project#, and the whole phrase becomes one tag. Nesting works too: #work/my project#.
- Shake to undo on iPhone now works with the keyboard hidden, inside code blocks and table cells, and only offers Undo or Redo when one is actually available.
- Plus a round of polish under the hood. Smoother editing, sharper details, fewer surprises.
Version 1.5.0
September 4, 2026- Use Caliu without an account. Your notes live on this device, and nothing leaves it. Sign in whenever you want to sync, and everything you wrote comes along.
- Eight new themes. Bolder palettes, and you can now pair one theme for the day with another for the night.
- Editor upgrades. Move a line or selection up and down with Option+Arrow, add a soft line break with Shift+Return, and switch on Markdown-style Return in Settings if a single Return should only break the line.
- Each note remembers where you left off, scroll position and keyboard language both.
- Fixes and polish. The caret behaves around soft breaks and inline code, taps below a note land where you expect, and the note inspector reads at one consistent size.

August 11, 2026- Now you can draw in your notes. Sketch, annotate and handwrite anywhere in a note, on iPhone and iPad.
- PDF export in your own fonts. Exports now use the fonts you read your notes in, tables keep the column widths you set, and a table no longer gets sliced in half at a page break.
- Local Files on Mac stays quiet. A connected folder no longer leaves the app spinning and eating memory.
- Fixes and polish. The iPhone note list pulls down to search, search results follow the sort order you picked, the command palette puts tags first and shows a nested tag's full path, and the keyboard capitalizes the first word of a new list item again.

August 3, 2026- Faster and lighter. Typing stays smooth in long notes, notes open quicker, switching and selecting notes on Mac no longer stalls, and search and launch are faster too. Caliu also uses less memory while it works, and the bigger your library, the more you notice.
- Local Files on Mac. Point Caliu at a folder and your notes live there as plain Markdown files, with images and attachments beside them. Edit them in Finder, Obsidian or any editor and the changes come straight back into Caliu.
- Paste that keeps its shape. Copy from a web page, Google Docs or Notion and the headings, lists, links, tables and code blocks arrive as clean Markdown instead of one flat block of text.
- Now in 13 languages. Korean and Traditional Chinese join the eleven Caliu already spoke.
- Apple Watch fixes. Your notes now load on the watch, anything you capture there reaches your iPhone and Mac, and voice notes work from your wrist.
- Fixes and polish. Batch export finishes, reminders keep arriving, and more small fixes on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

- Caliu on Apple Watch. A new watch app with its own sync. Read your notes, tick off tasks, add a line, and capture a thought by voice, right from your wrist. A complication puts a new note one tap away.
- Read-only notes. Make a note read-only and the keyboard stays down, so a stray tap can never edit it. Pin, tags, sharing and export all keep working.
- Bigger files. Attachments can now be up to 100 MB.
- TextPack. Export a note as TextPack, and bring your TextPack and TextBundle files into Caliu.
- Search that shows its work. Results highlight your matches in the title and the preview, and show a snippet when the match sits deeper in the note.
- Quotes that read like callouts. Blockquotes now render as a tinted panel with upright, full-contrast text, on every device.
- Faster history. Version history opens instantly when you return to a note you have not changed.
- Fixes and polish. A big round of editor reliability fixes, notes that open properly from Shortcuts, steadier links on Mac, a full-size reminders sheet on iPad, and more translated text.

July 16, 2026- Meet the inspector. A new panel with everything about your note: stats, a tappable outline, links and backlinks, files, and version history with restore.
- Undo in source mode. Reliable undo and redo while editing raw Markdown on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
