Caliu Pro is an optional upgrade: Caliu, with nothing held back. Everything essential about taking notes stays free, and Pro funds Caliu's independent development. You can pay for it as a subscription or buy it once, for life. Both unlock exactly the same features.
What Pro unlocks
- Unlimited notes. New users get 50 notes on the free plan (see "What's free" in this section). Pro removes the limit.
- Unlimited attachments. All the images and files your notes need.
- Every export format. TextPack, PDF, HTML, RTF, and ePub export, plus bulk export. Markdown and plain text export stay free for everyone.
- All themes, fonts, and app icons. The free tier includes three themes and seven fonts; Pro opens the whole catalog.
- Note version history. Browse and restore earlier versions of a note.
- Unlimited API keys. Build on the Caliu API with as many keys as you need.
Two ways to get Pro
- Pro subscription. A monthly or a yearly plan. Both auto-renew until canceled, and you can cancel anytime.
- Pro lifetime. A one-time purchase that keeps Pro on your account for good, with nothing to renew. It is currently sold at a temporary launch price that will later rise to the final price. No date has been set for that change.
Pro and Pro lifetime unlock exactly the same features. The only difference is how you pay.
How to subscribe or buy
Open the iPhone and iPad app or the Mac app, go to Settings, and tap the Caliu Pro card to see the plans and the lifetime option. The same screen also appears whenever you reach a Pro feature, for example when you try to create your 51st note on the free plan.
You can also subscribe or buy from the web app: open Caliu Pro from your account menu and pay there. Your Pro status is tied to your account, so paying once unlocks Pro everywhere.
Good to know about Pro lifetime
- It follows your account. Sign in with the same account on another device and Pro is there. If a new device does not show it right away, open the Caliu Pro card and tap Restore purchases.
- Refunds go through the store. Pro lifetime is bought through the App Store or the web app, so a refund request follows the store you bought from (Apple's refund process, or the web billing portal) rather than going through Caliu.
- Nothing to cancel. There is no renewal, no expiry date, and no subscription to manage.
