Connect Caliu to the AI assistant you already use, and it can work with your notes right inside the chat. Ask it things like:
- "Find what I wrote about the Lisbon trip."
- "Save this conversation as a note."
- "Summarize this week's meeting notes and tag them #work."
- "Add 'book flights' to my travel checklist."
What your assistant can do
Once connected, your assistant can search your notes, read them, create new ones, and edit, archive, or move them to the trash. It can also attach images and files, and see your tags. It tags notes the same way you do, by writing a #tag in the text, so everything it saves lands in the right place in your sidebar.
You stay in control
- You approve each app. Connecting opens a Caliu page where you sign in and choose Allow. Nothing can reach your notes before that.
- It acts when you ask. The assistant only opens your notes when a request needs them, and most assistants show you each step as it happens.
- You can disconnect anytime. Every app you approve is listed under Connected apps, where one click removes its access. See the article on managing connected apps.
When you ask an assistant about a note, that note is sent to the company behind the assistant, and their privacy terms apply to it. Caliu itself never reads your notes or uses them to train AI.
What you need
Connecting an assistant is free. It needs a Caliu account, so the assistant can reach your synced notes. Then follow the guide for your assistant: Claude, ChatGPT, or other AI apps, all in this section.
On the free plan, new accounts hold up to 50 notes, and that includes notes your assistant creates. At the limit, the assistant tells you it couldn't create the note, while searching, reading, and editing keep working. Move notes to the trash to make room, or get Caliu Pro for unlimited notes. See the article on what's free.
