Caliu is a notes app that stays out of your way. Your notes live on your device, so they open instantly, work fully offline, and sync quietly in the background once you are connected. No spinners, no "connecting" messages. Just open and write.
The ideas behind it
- Local-first. Your notes are always on your device. The cloud is a backup, never a bottleneck. You can write on a plane, in a tunnel, or anywhere else, and everything syncs when connectivity returns.
- Markdown. Everything you write is plain markdown, formatted live as you type. Your notes stay portable forever.
- Tags, not folders. Drop a
#workor#work/projectanywhere in a note and it shows up in your sidebar, ready to filter. - Calm. The interface disappears and writing takes over. Warm colors, a clean layout, and nothing fighting for your attention.
Where Caliu runs
